The Kennedy Family | Summer Diner, Salt Lake City, UT {In Frames Photography | Utah Family Photographer}

You know when you meet someone and you just automatically click? That was Mikelle and I. Even though we’re different, our styles and visions compliment each other so well. I think her brain is a really cool place.

Which makes sense why she and Jud have the coolest family. I LOVE working with these guys every year. They bring such an effortless sense of style into everything they do. This was really put to the test when we showed up to this diner and it wasn’t what any of us expected. This place is usually pretty slow and when they gave us permission to take pics, we thought, “cool, this will be super chill”… WRONG. There were SO MANY PEOPLE. It was the most busy I had ever seen it. So, with having to avoiding taking pictures of anyone else in the store, having to talk super loud to even hear each other, and everyone watching us… we had our work cut out for us.

We did what you do best at a diner. Eat. We ordered a bunch of food and let go of the stress of having to pose. I just let them be and documented around those moments… which is what it’s really all about.

Just take a look at how dreamy everything turned out. This is what happens when there’s a deep trust between photographer and client. I’m obsessed and hope you are too.
